Evelyn Calado is a Registered Kinesiologist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with over a decade of experience. She holds a Master’s degree in Kinesiology and specializes in personalized strength training for performance, injury recovery, and longevity.

No experience is required to start training at Avos Strength.
Many of our clients come to us with little or no previous strength training experience. Your program is built around your current level, and we progress gradually so you can build confidence, strength, and skill over time.
Our coaching team focuses on teaching proper movement, building a strong foundation, and creating a structured program that supports long-term progress.

Your first session at Avos Strength is an individualized assessment designed to understand your goals, movement patterns, and training history.
During the session, we review your intake form, discuss your goals, and perform a series of movement and mobility assessments. In some cases, we may also include light strength or coordination drills to better understand how you move.
This process allows us to design a fully individualized training program tailored to your needs.

Yes. In addition to in-person training in Vancouver, Avos Strength offers remote and hybrid coaching programs.
Many clients train independently at their own gym while following individualized programming delivered through our training platform. Programs are regularly updated based on your progress and feedback.
Hybrid clients combine remote programming with occasional in-person sessions for coaching, technique work, and program adjustments.

Avos Strength operates in Vancouver, British Columbia. In-person coaching sessions take place at our partner training facility (Gymbox), and we also provide remote coaching for clients training at their own gym or at home.
