Meet Coach Crawley

Michael Crawley, BSc, BPT, CSCS

Michael holds a Bachelor of Applied Biological Science from the University of Cumbria and a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Cardiff University. His academic background spans physiology, genetics, rehabilitation, and movement science, giving him a deep understanding of how the human body adapts, progresses, and performs under load.

He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

 

Athletic Background

Michael comes from a diverse athletic background that includes Gaelic football, soccer, swimming, and athletics. He currently trains with a focus on running, biking, and bouldering. His experience across multiple sports informs his coaching perspective, emphasizing movement efficiency, adaptability, and long-term athletic development.

 

Coaching Approach

Michael’s coaching approach meets each client exactly where they are. He focuses on building achievable, meaningful goals specific to the individual, while creating a training environment that is structured, engaging, and grounded in solid principles.

His sessions emphasize movement variety, skill acquisition, and developing confidence through repeatable progress. Michael’s goal is to help every client build resilience, awareness, and the capacity to move well both inside and outside the gym.

His blended background in physiotherapy and strength and conditioning gives him a unique ability to support clients managing previous injuries or rebuilding capacity.
